Neither. I have nothing against rich people. They worked hard and were smart. I also don't really want to be rich. I just want enough money to live comfortably in a small house, doing the things I love.

I've known and worked with a number of rich people, and they are no different at heart than most people. The ones I knew were generous to a fault and were extremely charitable.

I rarely wish I was rich. I'm fine with my life as it is, but I wouldn't be against being rich either. I can think of alot of good things I could do with more wealth.

There isn't anyone who doesn't want to be welathy. IMO there are 3 ways to achieve the goal:
1. You win the lottery
2. You work hard and are successful
3. You are born into it.

I have no problem with any of the three.
I will say though that the people with "new" money tend to be the ones who flash it around and are not as willing to part with it. Those who are born into it and those who have worked hard to make money to me seem to be more caring people. They better understand the plight of the unfortunate and are willing to donate and help them.

Yes I will have to agree with you.....those with little money are nothing but jealous....plain old jealousy at its finest.

I assume you've known alot of people who were "new money"? Because my experience is different. I worked with a number of "new money" people, and they were extremely generous and charitable. I'm sorry you had a different experience.

Good lord of course I want to be rich... I wantto have more money than brains (like those people in movies). I want to be able to drop 10K on a meal and not blink. I want to be able to stay at a 5 star hotel in some exoctic country with room service and a maid.... heck I want someone to do the laundry for me.

But really rich is a matter of standing. For me "rich" would be earning what I do now but not having any major debts (like mortgage) I do not even know where I might eat that it would cost 10 grand I would bet I wouldn't even like the food and I am not really one for travel but when I do I like B&Bs; soooo.... now having someone do my laundry for me that would be way awesome!

There's no reason to hate them, most of them worked hard to get where they are. I wouldn't mind being rich, it would be nice, but I'm perfectly happy the way thing are for me now.

I neither like nor dislike the rich. My grandparents on one side were rich and on the other side dirt poor. My preference is to have enough money to do what I want and I do. What I dislike about some rich are the destruction some of them are forcing on America in the name of unbridled business and profits and the almighty dollar. People like Rupert Murdoch, Monsanto's Michael Taylor, Goldman Sachs's Lloyd Blankfein and all of these people on their payroll doing their bidding.

Hate is a larger than life word and I hate no one because of money. I don't hate
the rich nor envy them or their lifestyle. I don't particularly want to be rich because money and material things are not that important to me in this life.
The love of money is the root of all evil. ( I Timothy 6:10 )
I am not greedy and God has blessed me with more than enough money to live on for the rest of my life and I am well satisfied with that. I have nothing against having wealth but it would never be a priority to me or control who I am as a human being.

Or at least wealthy. I am not excited by the prospect of others hating me for my good fortune or hard work. Nor do I look forward to relatives and friends who never spoke to me before suddenly wanting to be best friends.
