i use to mess with the telemarketers that use to call me. always calling them by different names like apu, mohinder allibaba etc. i typically just bugged the crap out of them until they hung up

And even though I am on the National Do Not Call Registry, they still call and I inform them that under article #563 of the National Do Not Call Registry, you are hereby ordered to send a check of ten thousand dollars to this address, and I give them my PO box and then state if you would rather not pay the amount, please remove this number from your call list.
I have not received a check yet, but the number of telemarketer phone calls have gone down, but I still get the calls off and on.

Yes,even though we are on the no call list. If i don't recognize the number I don't answer Love being able to see the number on the T. V. .Funny too our shepherd howls when the number is a 0.

In spite of being on the "do not call" registry, we still get them, but thanks to caller ID and an answering machine they never get through.

Not as many after we told the phone company to block the bastards. When they call I recognise who they are and just put the phone down on them. I haven't got time to argue with those idiots.

Some of the ones that call are recordings. WhenI would hang up, they'd call right back! So what I did was just put the phone on the table and walk away. That worked! Now I put that "block" on the landlines and my cell phone too!

The ones I am totally sick of is Clothing Donate. They call the day after I donate stuff. Geez, it takes a while to have more items to donate. I quite answering their calls. My sister got so angry with them she cancelled the pickup of her donation.

I have the "block" on the phones, so now I'm being bombarded by "junk mail" from politicians!!!! And those idiots send me about 2 or 3 of the same brochures! I do a lot of shredding!

Yes, they call. Two ways to handle, first tell them you are very interested and then hang up. Second method, tell them you are interested, set the phone down (do not hang up) and go about your business...this will waste their time and when they figure out your scam, they go away.

If more people leave their phone on the counter and let these telemarketers just yak away....maybe they'll get the message and just go away............for a few days! "Bad pennies" ALWAYS COME BACK! SHUCKS!!!

You need caller ID or put a block on your phone. It'll save you a lot of stress, believe me. These callers ALWAYS call when we're having dinner!
