Blood doesn't bother me. Vomit, however, does.

No, not blood, but someone throwing up does make me queezy. In fact I may throw up too if I see it.

When you have kid's your usually going to see blood. They fall, get cut's and scrapes, etc. Being a Mom also means you have a given Dr. degree !

But I am not interested in having some strangers blood spurting on me either. I dont back away because it sickens me, I back away so it can not sicken me.

No. I fix my own hamburgers at home which contain, you guessed it, BLOOD!! Can't afford to be queasy if you're going to make a homemade burger nice and cheesy.

"I need to help" is the first thought that goes through my head when I see blood. If it's my own blood, I tell everybody to go away because somebody always freaks out, and if that happens I start freaking out /:)

I am very calm & practical in emergency cases , if the life is in danger , I do whatever is needed to do , like a robot without realizing I am dealing with a human being's blood . But in calm times , when you just sit & relax & if someone comes with a bit of blood on their finger, etc. I turn my head . I don't know why .

Some people, in an emergency, can desensitize themselves towards what's happening in order to take care of what is in front of them. I've witnessed two medical emergencies, and remained clam and helpful during both, and it wasn't until hours later that what I had witnessed hit me.

Usually no. A few times I've cut myself so badly that the blood shoots out in pulsating spurts. That kind of bothers me.

Before I even read the last part, I was thinking "Oh, she must have kids." It's sad that I can feel your pain at only 16, but I guess that's what happens when babysit your ten second cousins ranging from ages 2 through 9.
