Yes because I don't have that great of memory so I forget what I was mad about =p which is good because I don't like being mad at people, it's a waste of time, people are human and everyone makes mistakes. =)

I think it's safe to forgive, however, if I'm allowed to bring politics into this, I don't think we should be so easy on forgiving GOP nominee Gingrich for his affairs. Am I saying we should leave him unforgiven? No, but I think it takes much more time to forgive such actions, especially when he lead the assault on Bill Clinton for his affair.

I hardly ever hold a grudge against anyone and I do not hate anyone. I get over things really quickly.

I try. When I was younger, I forgave much easier. My heart is a little harder right now. Wish it wasn't.

My father was a NYC police officer who died in the line of fire. I forgave the man that shot him. The odd thing is, when I posted about his death some time ago (this is my second tour on SH), an individual indicated that my father deserved what he got simply for being a cop.

That person, I can not bring myself to forgive. Can't understand why. Guess the individual's heart was so black, maybe he/she wasn't even real.

I think the reason you cant is because u just have hate and regret on forgiving that person, the first time. My opinion is that forgiving that hateful person would make you a better person in life, and most important for your self... and i understand that it wont be easy to forgive at the moment, but everybody needs time, and i guarantee u that that person is gonna get what he/she deserves, (what goes around comes around).

Thank you. It was discovered that the person who did kill my father was mentally ill. What people don't know what it is like living with a police officer. They do not realize the work that is taken home with them. It was the early '80's when this happened. There were not the resources available now (not that most officer's would take it!). I'd find him after the 12:00 AM shift at the table silent with a bottle of Vodka.

I seriously hold no more animosity toward the person who killed my father. My problem is with people who think all cops are on the take and that all cops are abusers. It is not true.

not all cops are abusers, and i respect them because they risk their life's to protect those people on need.
