I always feel sad when I see a homeless person. And it if it was a kid, I'd feel worse.

But only for those who got involuntarily displaced. Like loosing their job because of "downsizing" etc, or getting left in the lurch by a spouse or significant other. It's a shock to them and hard to adjust to that way of life! But then there are the "mental" ones who just cant live any other way. I've seen it all. So I try to give when I can.

I feel sorry for all of the innocent homeless people such as: children, people who have lost their jobs and homes through no fault of their own, and other innocent victims. I have little sympathy for people who lost their homes due to alcohol and/or illegal drug use, or because they were abusing family members or other people, etc.

But it sad but I believe all them have different situation, some choose it, there some who worked hard and then things change lost job, lost home, It is sad. I believe in america we have always help the needy, but the ones that help are loosing there jobs
now.

I've been on the brink of homelessness more than once in my life (I'm there now). I know what it feels like to feel helpless, hopeless and useless. I've been fortunate enough to have not hit rock bottom as they have and I hope I never do. They're people and they deserve a chance to live without worry, just like everyone else.

We've been slacking off on our yard work in anticipation of the ones who knock on our door asking for work. They've shown up at our house for the last 2 years, asking for any kind of work we can find for them to do. But they won't take charity either, so right now my yard is on the shaggy side.

I do not understand why our government allows former military personnel to become homeless, but they give billions to women with out-of-wedlock children who frequently have never made a contribution to our country in any way.

I agree with you on that. How very sad that our former military personnel are so neglected by our government when they need help. But, if Obama's bodyguards need discount hookers... Or Moochelle desires million dollar vacations...

It depends on who it is though. Unfortunately there are a lot of fake homeless folk who just don't want to work, and sadly that takes the attention away from those who are truly suffering, and why people virtually spit on homeless folk and show them no pity, merely assuming they will use it for alcohol or drugs.

I do feel bad for those truly down on their luck, but if they're not trying to do anything to get back on their feet and try to find WORK, then I've no pity for them.

they have a heart, they breath just like us, they have to live like everyone, there human, and to not have a home a place to stay, its beyond painful to think , the way things are going there might be us like this one day , so if i can do it i would still say a huge blessing for them best i can be

and yes its kinda half and half...only because there are some homeless i dont feel sorry for because some of them are homeless because they use or drink to much and they put all there money towards getting what they need supply there addiction and they don't deserve my sympathy because they could possible have a job and home if they clean up there act

Yes, I do. It's an awful life, especially here in the North and Winter down the road. The shelters will soon run out of room and families and the elderly given short shrift. Pray for them and support your local shelters and homeless support providers.

Yes, there are many that did not start out that way, but through unfortunate circumstances, ended up that way. I cant image having to try and find food and shelter every night.

i feel bad, that must be a really hard way to live. when i see them and have some spare change or a few cigarettes i give them a few. I would also give them cupons for free and discounted food at restaraunts. i like to help out.
