Depends on the situation. I let a few people go ahead of me who were obviously on their lunch break instead of making them wait behind nearly 100 indecisive teenagers.
If I have a lot of groceries and they don't have that many and I just happen to look behind me I ask them to go ahead and they ask if I'm sure and I say yeah of course go ahead you only have 3 while I have a whole bunch. Its no big problem lol.
Many times for different reasons, such as a mom with a crying baby, an elderly woman seeming to be less than steady on her feet, when someone is in a hurry and i'm not.... etc...
yes.
the guy who is holding 1 item can alway go ahead of me when my cart is full.
the lady w/ 3 children grabbing a quick few items can always go ahead of me... i know what a few moments in the store w/ many little ones can mean.
i try to treat people the way i want to be treated... what comes around goes around... and most of the time it's been returned to me.
living an impatient life used to make me nuts and when i sought to learn patience my happiness increased.
Yes! For several reasons. If somebody behind me is talking to their friend in front of my, I would let them go ahead of me. If they ask politely, yes. If they have an armful of items for checkout, and I only have one or two things, I let that person go ahead of me. Nice question, and I am happy to answer, even if I get called a wimp for my answer!
It's the considerate thing to do, IMHO.
