When necessary yes, when I was a kid I made up a nickname for my guinea pig, only a few years ago did I learn that it was related to drug paraphernalia. I also makeup words that mean things only to myself. I love to play around with the English language.

Yes, one word that I made up about 60 years ago is "Clobberate". I started hearing it a few years later and still hear it once in a while today.

    But rarely if ever alone.
Crazy friends are often the best kind.
With them life is almost never boring...

...What's really weird is when the words turn up in a different language!
And yes, has happened more than once.

Anyone can do this by adding the suffix 'ular'. :) As in, crotchular.

ex: I like a little excess room in my pants, namely in the crotchular area.

.. was listening to a buttoned down midwife attempting to explain why the mother was having troubles birthing and I boiled it down to 'her utteris is not utterating properly'. That midwife now uses that word professionally when needed.

I guess I do. I have 3 kids, and a lot of times they will get a word wrong and it sticks and becomes something you say all the time. Like nerb (nerd). I've been using the word "colded" for years after I made it up. Like if somebody comes up behind you and puts a cold soda can on the back of your neck, or their cold hands on your back, I say " You colded me !" It makes sense to me.

Bimbette, If I'm tired or very excited I'll sometimes switch the first letters of words.
known as a Spoonerism for the Anglican clergyman who made them famous....
Reverend Charles Spooner's Tips of the Slung
His goofs at chapel were legendary. "Our Lord is a shoving leopard," he once intoned.
"Son, it is now kisstomary to cuss the bride." And to a stranger seated in the wrong place: "I believe you're occupewing my pie. May I sew you to another sheet?"

fighting a liar lighting a fire
cattle ships and bruisers battle ships and cruisers
nosey little cook cosy little nook
a blushing crow a crushing blow
tons of soil sons of toil
our queer old Dean our dear old Queen
we'll have the hags flung out we'll have the flags hung out
you've hissed all my mystery lectures you've missed all my history lectures
In fact, you've tasted two whole worms In fact, you've wasted two whole terms
    a half-warmed fish a half-formed wish
is the bean dizzy? is the Dean busy?
    What a Great question and Fun answers! Thank you,ღ ツ♪♫♥ Ð Я £ å ₥ £ Я ♥♪♫ ღ ツ! Much Appreciated!

If you don't understand the reference, try googling the above upper-case word. You will be doing yourself a FLAVOR - because this book is a real treat!
