I'm sure I do on occasion, but usually by simply mispronouning a real word. I have a daughter who does it deliberately ALL the time and I think it makes her sound like a moron, plus you never know what she is talking about. You can't have a standard language if everyone goes around making up their own words all the time. Jeez!

Yes all the time when i lived at home id make anew word up unintentionally and my dad would always pull me up on it.. But here in australia on big brother i hate how sonia made the word nom noms the interpretation for nominations. Nom noms to me is food!

Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.
