Yes, only the SPAMMMERS and SCAMMERS, Since most of them are automated calls trying to sell me some get rich quick scheme, they are easy to recognize. I have a contact labeled "SPAM" programmed into my phone and assign all of their numbers into that contact, which is set for NO RING. When a SPAM call comes in my phone just does not ring. My phone also does not ring for any incoming call with the caller ID blocked, however; a small number of blocked Caller ID calls are real people who I need to talk with and those people generally leave a message on the voice-mail, so I do get back with them.
I have caller ID and I still get calls that have "unidentified caller" on them so I ignore them or if they go more than 4 rings I pick up and hang up on them.
I occasionally get junk phone calls. I ignore them. Also, I occasionally get a call from someone I actually know, but it's not convenient to take the call. I ignore it, but call the person later.
I ignore ALL "Unknown Caller" calls, telemarketers, and numbers I don't recognize. There's an answering machine to leave messages, and most nuisance callers don't leave messages. The phone is something I pay for for MY convenience - not anyone else's.
I won't answer calls on my cell phone from area codes that I don't recognize. If its anyone I know they'll usually leave me a message and I'll call them back.
There's someone who is supposed to be helping me finding a job, but she usually ends up making me do everything, and she loves to call me all the time. Mainly to nag me.
all the time - if I don't recognize the number, I'm not picking up, nor do I answer calls that say "unknown", "private caller". or "000-000-0000". If they are legit, they will leave a message, if not no loss
All the time.My home phone announces who calling so I don't even have to bother getting up.I've 2 others droid for work, basic for play and that one is rarely even on.I really should try and be a bit better.
Oh yea, and it drives my friends and family crazy....I just dislike talking on the phone unless I have to. Certain exceptions apply of course(haven't heard from the person in years, work/project related, the person lives really far away etc.)
i give my cell number only to people i want to talk too :)
