Well when your raised on a farm and thats the only meat you eat for 3 years straight you learn to love it, lamb I'm not big on, but venison?

Had venison in a restaurant. But it's very expensive here, up to £40+ a kilo. Even mince or burger is about £15. That's about $60 and $25 or so.

Don't knock it till you try it kiddo, I made spaghetti with it once and a friend of mine who hates meat loved it....MUAHAHAHA I turned a vegetarian :D

We mix 25% ground deer with 75% pork sausage and eat it that way. I cannot stomach 100% deer.

depends.....white tail or mule? mule is gamey and needs to be marinaded because of the heavy sage influence on the meat.

i don't know about that....i was raised in WI eating white tail and it tasted completely different than the mule deer I made and ate when I moved to CO. The muleys feed on a lot of wild sage and it has a completely different flavor to me. The marinade took the gaminess away. Antelope is my favorite venison, tho.

The different tastes are the same as different fish taste different. I'm just saying that there is non such thing as gamey, it is just the taste of the meat. Black Angus beef taste different then other beef. I don't get to eat deer or other game as I don't hunt. I'm not against hunting, it's just that I myself can't shoot animals. I once had Black Bear. It tastes like sweet roast beef. I would love to have some again.
