My current vehicle is automatic. I prefer manual though, a lot more fun to drive... too bad they don't make 3 speed manuals anymore like the '42 Willys I learned to drive in.

could have chosen either one, the truck is standard and the car is automatic. Since I drive the truck more often I chose standard.

I so prefer a standard transmission ("stick shift"). My first was a 1970 used Saab when I lived in Sweden--old but an awesome tank! I've had several Volvo 240 wagons, the last one smashed into unfixability by some psycho who hit me with a 6006 pound American SUV at 55 miles per hour on a side-street. Cops came and did NOT ticket the psycho! Then I bought a 1994 Honda Civic, little red, with 5-speed stick. Drove it to Obama's first inauguration, it got 38 miles per gallon! Awesome!! I want a stick again!
