Do you delete friends for over-sharing?

I like getting plenty of shares - see what everyone's interested in atm...

Though "over sharing" in my book probably means you've having to be pretty obnoxious. Not only would you have to share every question you answer, but you'd have to be answering a ton of questions each day.

I'm pretty sure I've only removed one friend for this reason for the entire time I've been on this site.

I've done that, and considering doing it more. It isn't difficult, to un-check that little box, when answering a question you personally choose to comment on. I don't mind at all, when my SH friends share questions they think are especially interesting.

It's not personal at all! I still consider them friends!

I have....a couple but not as a rule. I SHOULD, tho.

I have a couple I may have to remove. I get WAY too many shares and the good ones get lost amongst the 'Am I pretty ones'.

Yep. It's how I keep my 'shared questions' at a manageable level :)

Yea....it really makes me mad....I mean before that I tell them to shut up but if they keep going thats it I snap consider them unfriended to me.....

Hmm I've never asked someone not to share as much with me. I've considered it, but who knows, maybe the rest of their friends enjoy their shared questions. Who am I to tell them they can't share? But all the same, if I don't want to receive what they're sharing, I delete the friend.

Obviously it depends on some other stuff. If I really like that friend, I'll be more likely to keep them around, but if I don't know them and I don't like their content, no reason to keep them.

Not but thats sure a thought! Once I deleted someone who time after time asked me to join an Obama group when clearly I am not even close to being an Obama fan.

Only one. I kept getting the same question over and over. I don't think it was his fault but it was driving me mad.

no i never have, hmm i don't think i've ever deleted any of my friends come to think of it, i might have been deleted because of it, probably because i seem to never unclick the share button lol

Heh, you usually only have to do it once per day....then next time you log back on, check if it's still unticked :)

I have deleated a few. I hated to, but it was too annoying.

The only time I delete someone, instead of just blocking their constant bingo or zombie farm requests, is if they are posting explicit material left and right. I don't want to see hate and cursing every time I look through the timeline.

no, it takes too much out of me to delete people. LOL.

...but I do delete them when they are no longer friendly.

Reasons I have and will continue to unfriend.

1.Sent/Send weekly greetings and never hear back from them or maybe once e/mo or two.
Strange many have sent me friend invites, but don't respond. No biggie, since I never got the chance to get to know them. Maybe done just to get raves...who knows...who cares. :-)
2. Psycho Men and Women.
3. Over-sharing of questions. 50 or more questions a day or hour. Delete...Delete :-)

Edit to add: I understand at times one must be gone for awhile, but if you really care about one...the friendship, you will let them know. Also some of my friends are not on SH much, that's a different story. When they do come on, we catch up. I've not had to remove many, most of the people under my friends list are my true internet friends...Special!!

Weekly greetings? None of my friends send me weekly greetings :P I like having them as friends just the same. I like sharing content with them and knowing they'll probably respond on it. It would be emotionally draining, I think, to try to form a close personal relationship with every "internet friend" I have.

Yes, weekly greetings.
I don't consider helping others, giving peace, smiles or laugher, saying prayers and caring for others draining. I find it rewarding. I don't try, it just comes natural for me.

I see. You've only got 78 friends, so I guess I can imagine you'd have time to converse individually with them. I have 792 SH friends >.>

I saw that you have hundreds...WOW, that's a lot. I don't want a bunch. :-)

I haven't deleted anybody yet and I have no plans to do so.

I think there was one person with whom I never really engaged, there were tons and tons of questions that did not interest me and so I deleted that person. Otherwise, I don't get to most of my shared questions so I really don't think about being annoyed by friends sending questions I don't want to answer. I don't answer most of them, there just isn't time.
