Do you care what people say about you?

Not really!!

Depends on who the people are.

I remember being in elementary school running home one day in tears telling my mother about this one girl who used to pick at me, her reasoning? she said i thought i was cute., the real reason? a guy she had her eye on had hiis eye on both of us and i had my eye on no one. so after a pep talk my mother looks at me and says let her and her group of two freinds talk, eventually they'll get bored with you, but the next time she says you think you're cute you have my permission to look her back in the eye and say i sure do, who the hell is going to stand there and admit their ugly? And from that day forward after following my mothers advice, my biggest worry in life sure isn't what someone is saying about me!

God made us to be us and who he says we should be, not be who others say we should be.

I hate that I care, I thought by now I would be able to let it just roll off my shoulders, but no, it tends to really bother me depending on how my day is going.

Unless it is a lie. Then there is trouble.

It all depends on the subject matter.

in my life i am always picked on for being loud and smart and when i try to be funny, people slam me... i mean it didnt matter at first until i started middle school and the names and attacks just got worse now i cant accept compliments because insults tell me that im not invisible but known... just not nicely

To varying degrees I do, depending on the source. Empty praise is at least harmless, but negative words are not, in many cases. So really; yes.

It depends who says it.

It's not that I don't care what others think of me, I know that I'm a good soul who has a lot to give. Some people see it, others don't. I can't live my life through someone else's perception. Like me, great...hate me, great. It's up to you.

I care what my children, grandchildren and friends think.

It is the only way to live in this society. We all must value the opinions of someone.

I only care about what the people I care about think. That doesn't necessarily mean I always agree with them.

Nope. Never cared and as I got older I really did not even care what my parents would say. Even if I deserved a bad mouthin' from time to time I would still ignore it and move along. Very good at not caring about what people think or say about me. :)

My answer ,is ultimately no. But,I am still fighting a long battle,with learning how to laugh at my shortcomings,and mistakes,and I prefer to stay away from people as I have not learned to control how I feel inside about what they say,good or bad. I think that learning how to accept an objective opinion from someone,is a way to develop good discipline in oneself. If we have people praising us all of the time, for everything we do,acting as if everything we touch turns to gold,some of us rest on a false bed of laurels. But,I know that the only true source that matters,is God.......in whatever shape or form such a being could be or is. If I really cared what other ppl said that much,I don't think I would be typing this. Life is about the journey,not the destination- yes I'm a cheeseball for quoting ,Bruce Lee. Really I have Blue hair in a school of preps...I love to give them something to talk about.

i am only 14 and people in my high school say things about me all the time . . . but i think why should i care when 4 or 5 years from now i will be out of high school and their opinions with have no jurisdiction in my life when i am going to college and getting somewhere with my life
