If you have a spare 50 minutes, and aren't opposed to Derren Brown, here's a video of it being done.

Common Misconception. Hypnotism can't make you do anything you don't want to, if you even for a second think "Oh I could get in trouble," then its broken.

It is centered around your subconcious mind but you concious mind is always buzzing in the backround. No matter what anyone says, you can't be MADE to do anything you are not willing to do.

That is not how hypnotism works hun. That man cant fall straight to sleep without prior excercises, your mind AND body have to be relaxed. The people involved with the shooter also repeatedly admitted he was "programmed" a huge trait for BRAINWASHING not hypnotism. Like I said, if that shooter was involved in hypnosis and did not want to shoot the prez or did not plannto, then he would not have done it. Hypnosis can not MAKE you do something, ever.

Did you watch the whole thing?
He explains how he got the person to fall straight asleep, and that a major factor is people expect him to be able to do it. He explains pretty much the whole procedure throughout the show, and it did work.

I take that as a "No, i didn't watch the rest of the slow, but i'd like to claim to have knowledge that disproves you without revealing what it is."
Not a very good conversational technique you have there.

Anger managament self hypnosis is where it started. Had to get it from my therapist Robin Chervitz. Then being quitte interested in the subject I started looking up. Besides the fact that a certified therapist told me that you can not be hypnotized into doing something you don't want to do, that probably has more weight and education value than a TV show that you found that is for entertainment purposes. Secondly if you are trying to tell me even for a second that because you are a little confused that someone can put you into a hypnotic state of subconciousness then you are dead wrong. Try self hypnosis first, then expand out into this kind of stuff. You will be able to tell for yourself what is real and what is fake.

A person can be hypnotized against their will. Once a person has been hypnotized they can no longer resist it.”

Most stage hypnotists are skilled at creating the illusion that they possess a magical and mysterious power over other people. There is, in fact, no such "power." Hypnosis is a state of consent and cooperation. The only control the hypnotist has over you is the control you allow him to have. The normal amount of control is to allow the hypnotist to guide you into a state of relaxation, and then suggest the thoughts and imagery for your concentratio...

Throughout the process you can end your state of physical relaxation and mental concentration at any time.

“A person surrenders their will once they go under hypnosis, and can be made to do things he or she does not want to do.

You are capable of making normal decisions at all times under hypnosis. You can't be ‘made’ to do anything under hypnosis that you would find objectionable under normal circumstances.

This is for the man who helped him on the show. Its his Biography.

I am interested in the distinction between conscious and unconscious mental states, particularly knowledge, but also intentions and desires.

Unconscious knowledge: Much of the knowledge we acquire for dealing with the world appears to be unconscious. For example, we can use the rules of grammar to comprehend and produce grammatical utterances within a fraction of a second, yet we cannot describe more than a few rules of grammar. We can learn not only to use certain linguistic structures, but also to appreciate certain styles of music, to obey cultural rules, or to gain perceptual motor mastery of a domain without consciously knowing the underlying regularities. How is such knowledge acquired? By what methods can we know whether knowledge is conscious or unconscious? What type of structures can be learnt unconsciously? How can such learning be computationally modelled?

Unconscious intentions: I argue hypnosis is a way of acting which is intentional but the person is strategically unaware of those intentions. If you are interested in being screened for hypnotisability, and live near the University of Sussex, you can sign up online.

-meaning- if they have the intention or want of killing someone then they will
if hypnosis gives them the means. This in no way states that you can be MADE to do it. He is all about intentions and desire.

And lastly my good sir, when you are truly under the effects of hypnosis, when he says awake even. You have a glazed look about you like you are confused and you hold that throught every suggestion until you are told to do something you don't want to.

Err, did you watch the show? It's called the Experiments. It was a series of social experiment that were made into a TV show to get funding. And because Derren Brown started as a stage Magician, and people like to see his work. He constantly states that me has no powers other than talent at deception. Admittedly he occasionally jokes that he's magical...
Watch the whole show, tell me which parts you think were faked and why, and i'll discuss it with you. Spout theory i've seen disproven in a reasonably scientific way and your comments are redundant.
Like me saying there is no gravity, you can clearly see there is. (well, bad example you can't see gravity, only the effects.)
