Nature dictates that life on earth will end when the sun burns out many millions of years from now. Of course, that doesn't rule out natural or man made disasters which could occur at any time. The end will come at some point
But there are no special powers given to anyone to see the future.

First, archeologists have found more calenders that go on for several thousands more years. Second, the mayan calenders didn't account for leap year, according to the mayan calenders everyone is going off of, the world was supposed to end about a year and a half ago.
