Yes, I do, even though one may never learn why. What’s important is having an open mind, which lends itself in growing closer to God.

Everything that we wittiness taking place around us and how we chose to form an opinion on what is taking place comes from our past experiences that we store in our memory and recall on when things remind us of how we felt and thought about similar things that take place now. Since we all have our own mind which no one else can control but us and we have all had different experiences that are locked up in our memory bank we all see things differently and how we perceive things is how we develop our personality that we identify with. How we react to those thoughts that come up is what creates how things effect us when we get involved. You may also be in the way of someone else's thoughts and actions so you are not always responsible for what happens although you are responsible for how you chose to think about it.

So to answer the question do I think all things take place for a reason? Yes but it is us who is choosing how we want to perceive and remember what took place and since it is our natural instinct to want to be happy our mind takes a second look at the whole episode and we decide what was good about it so that we can let go of what would make us feel bad about the situation and learn from it in order to move forward toward growth and what is life supporting.

    But...

But there is much more to what I really believe when you talk about comprehending the
whole big picture of what life really is which I am writing a book on my own perception of how I now see life beyond my attachment to my small ego identified self that tells us we are seperate from all of life. I now see myself and all there is as a part of something much bigger.
I still believe that there is an order in the universe and I do want to say this.... who we call God or any other given name for who or what we think is the creator of all there is
is actually one big alive conscious energy that exist at the core of every atom that makes up this entire material world. This big source of consciousness is the one big intelligence
that ties all of life together and it is what is in charge of maintaining the order in the universe as it it creates all things from the smallest vibration which is a thought vibration and from there atoms are brought together to create what that thought intended in order to exist within something that has boundaries since consciousness itself has no form of its own and yet it has a desire to want to witness its own existence.

So it created the material world to exist within in order to fulfill that desire which is done when we realize that who we are is this big consciousness and not the small seperate from everything self that our limited ego state of mind created from only using 10% of our full brain potential to comprehend life around us with. It's our ego mind that keeps us focused on what is taking place outside of us and in order to discover your higher self and evolve past your ego state of mind you have to let go of your attachment to your thoughts while sitting in a restful position and allowing that process of your mind taking a dive into greater states of consciousness to happen naturally on its own like when we go to sleep and connect with this one big source of energy to get rejuvenated.

Only you need to instead of falling to sleep and going unconscious you need to try to stay awake and let go of thoughts long enough to feel that deep inner part of your mind that is the silent watcher and creator of everything you do. It is a feeling of something much greater that has always been a part of you only you were too busy entertaining thoughts that the ego mind keeps you busy with instead of paying attention to it.

This is what you discover when you know what and where to look for your connection to all of life that opens the door to comprehending what life really is which is liberating from all of the wondering we have put our self through when questioning why are we here and where is God. When you know the truth it sets you free and all of life only validates what you know and every religion has the same one message that will suddenly make complete sense as you see where and why we misunderstood what life really is. Your heart is filled with contentment and unconditional love more than you have ever felt before when you depended on someone else or something that you thought made you happy.

Things and relationships outside of yourself are only small glimpse of what it is like when you fulfill your purpose for being here and you finally pay attention to your connection with what created you that lies within you and all things around you. You begin feel that presence within you at all times as though you are not alone and are safe in the arms what loves you the most which is God or this consciousness that is God. You are able to gracefully and peacefully accept what is and what takes place without it effecting you in a negative way because you don't question life anymore since you now know the whole truth
of what is in charge of taking care of everything as you let go and let God do the work so to speak and you are here to witness this beautiful thing called life unfold in front of you.
This is one of my favorite photos that I found and it reminds me of everything I just tried to explain of how consciouness is the power of the universe that flows through us.

Everything doesn't happen for a reason. My grandpa just died, what's the reason for that? Many people are starving, and dying, reason for that? People are catching diseases that have never been seen outside of a movie, and anyone around them gets the worst of it, reason for that? The Holocaust, reason for that? Terrible things happen nearly everyday, and there's no reason for each and every tragedy.

No, I do not believe in FATE! If I did, I would have sat on my hands a long time ago and just gave up. Your genes and your upbringing, or lack thereof, sets you on your path. It is your choice to stay on it.

(fact) It's your Atheistic chemical view of man that makes choice impossible - not Miko's belief.
If we are just 100% chemical animals, chemicals 100% causally determine our every thought or behavior. Our mind is nothing but 100% chemically determined illusion. Chemicals have no choice. We have no choice.

(Fact) Everything happening for a reason has nothing to do with 'fate'. Fatalism is the belief that you have no free-choice. That would only be possible if you had no free-will. No free-will is exactly what exists if your chemical view of man is true.

    Atheism is mindless.

I have never heard of anything called 'chemical reductionism'. I have studied enough biology to know that we react to pheromones than use our deductive reasoning to make almost any choice.

I wasn't judging you. I was pointing out a fact! You judged me without even knowing whom you were talking to or about. I was responding to a direct comment. You called me an atheist and then called them 'mindless.' I am neither, thank you very much. Are you saying that your upbringing doesn't set you on your path in life? And, do you think genetics have nothing to do with your behavior, responses to behavior of others? If it is neither, than what makes you behave the way you do?
