While the 1st Amendment is irrelevant on Sodahead, the purpose of the 1st Amendment, was to *PROTECT* unpopular speech. (Popular speech needs no protection.)

One man's hate speech is another man's simple statement of truth. I believe it is hate speech when proponents of gay privilege say people of faith are bigots, homophobes. They, on the other hand, believe it is hate speech when we say homosexual acts are vile, disgusting sins. When someone tells my children that homosexuality is normal and acceptable, I feel a terrible violation of my home, my religion, my family. How dare they propagate their lies to my children and then portray me as some ignorant savage for opposing them?

People come here to express themselves. A lot of it isn't pleasant, but others have the option of blocking and/or bypassing what they feel is hate speech.

Who defines "hate speech", what gives them the right, and based upon what is speech determined to be "hate"? Isn't there already enough violations of freedom without new ones being created out of thin air on a daily basis? There's an option to block someone if you find their speech "hateful".

I believe in freedom of speech, and that means I believe all must be allowed. Certainly some speech will be offensive, but as soon as you start drawing lines in the sand you also have someone drawing the lines. And personally, I don't trust that anyone will draw said lines without bias.

We have more than enough censorship and political correctness in the world to suit my tastes. I would much rather have person make a remark I disagree with than to enforce regulations stating that they can't say it.

Anyone who is decent will ignore the person who speaks hate. Most people will probobly block the person who speaks hate and thus effectively removing himself/herself from Sodahead without actually leaving.
