Of course. Without animal testing for medicines and procedures, most of us would not be alive today. Animals are here on this planet to serve us: whether it be as food, as beasts of burden, pets, entertainment, or as test platforms.
Having said that, it is our responsibility as custodians of the planet to take care of the planet and everything in it, including humane treatment of animals. I would object to inordinately cruel or un-necessary animal testing. There is always room for more humane treatment of animals.
I don't really like it but I think it is necessary to solve diseases and find cures for humans. I mean we already have 29k children dying a day from just diseases and starvation. Sorry to say but I value human kind over animal kind.
If the study is about something important then yes. Without that, nowadays organ transplant and many medicines will not be available for human beings.

I don't agree with animal testing for any reason. its wrong to do to an innocent animal. they have no idea why they re getting tortured. some of the things that animals are getting tested for is not even important at all, like makeup. if these experiments are not humane enough to try on people then they should not be tried on animals. scientists haave found a way to clone human skin and organs for testing and it is way more accurate than testing on an innocent animal. there is no need for it any more, it is an out of date practice that needs to be stopped.
