I always view someone's profile. I don't mind people with differing views but if they cannot present an argument intelligently OR exhibit certain traits which I, personally, think are despicable, I won't accept them. I always check the person's profile.

No, I check out the profiles. Quite often it is a man from a foreign country who has never responded to questions and is only looking for women. I NEVER accept them. I am uncomfortable accepting people with whom I have not conversed with on SH. I do check out profiles to see if there is a commonality and if they have nothing in common with me I do not accept them as friends.

No, I didn't know what I was doing when first here, but now I look. If there has been "zero" similarities, I will wonder "what the heck"? Also, if a person is quite young. I don't mind communicating with all ages on the boards, but not my intention to be a "collector".

I don't look, I don't care much, people leave Sodahead so much it's easier to stock up on friends and weed them out the ones you don't like later, as opposed to adding a few friends once in a while then disappearing from the site for a while and come to find out they're all gone.

This isn't Facebook, no reason to be picky.

A lot of the requests do not have profiles or they usually have the minimum info. I will take them usually. But I do check where I can. Or its somebody I've been seeing online for awhile. Most of the requests seem to be relatively new members.

I never accept w/o reading their page initially.
The first one's I delete are those wishing to friend me because they saw me on that stupid leader board, which I pay no attention to. That type of request speaks volumes to me, and we have nothing in common. Unlike many here, I've made it a personal decision to keep a small group of friends. On occasion, I'll accept an invitation if, after looking at someone's page, there's something I see that interests me. For the most part, I take the initiative and will write an email to them and ask if they'd like to friend, rather than just send a friend request.

Always look at a friend request profile. Two things that will get a friendship denial, politics so afar from mine that is is a hopeless match and Age. If you are under 21 years old please don't bother. You don't friend your Grampa and I am not my grand kids.
