The ones you get that say "I saw you listed as top____ on the leaderboard. Please accept my friend request" or something like that....

    Almost a reflex action. The have not stated any reason I should welcome them as friends.

    I surmise that many of them are just looking to expand their friend list.

    But first I check their age, if listed (I think this should be required fwiw). Then I check gender, religious affiliation, and political affiliation. After that I check a couple pages of their responses to questions. Their responses are the most determining factor in whether I click "become friends" or "deny".

    I always check their profile and if they seem ok I'll accept....
    I do get quite a few that say that...it's not what I look for when making requests...the race for points seems pointless ha haa ( 'scuse pun) but to each their own!!

    I accept all, but I giggle at those requests, because the only posts I rave are the ones I am interested in and/or agree with, they strike a chord, and I am a big raver of THOSE posts. Most of the stuff I am sent, x, x, x, x...sad but true. I certainly don't rave that which I don't even want to read.

    Sometimes. If I recognize the name and recall interesting and/or humorous and respectful posts, I will respond. If I don't recognize the name I'll check the profile and then act accordingly.

    No, I do not accept all friend requests coming from leaderboard or just in general. I usually look at the profile first and read some of the persons questions/answers.

    It depends. I look at everyone's profile before I confirm the requests. If their political/religious/any other beliefs match mine and they answer a lot of political questions then I'll friend them. If they don't match but the person's still very political I won't. If they stay away from the politics section I usually add them.

    I've never turned down a friend request in 5 years here. I have over 900 and climbing. It would be nice to hit 1000

    I have a rule of accepting and it's not really that. My rule is that anybody over 10% in Politics.. can't happen. I have 798 questions after this, most of which are probably that subject that I could definitely go without seeing :/

    I accept all requests, but have unfriended a some like those who serial block. I have noticed that those who have you blocked are still able to post you their questions which in turn earns them points even though you are blocked by that particular person. So to stop them scoring sneakily off you. I unfriend them and that way I cannot receive their questions. So they can't score snide points of you!
