Do the Leaderboard leaders actually have the most influence on Sodahead??

Anybody can ask mundane questions and be on top of the Leaderboard but does that give them the most influence?? I know some lower ranked Sodaheads that have been here awhile and they ask a lot better thought provoking questions then the so-called leaders on Sodahead..I mean I enjoy going through all the spam questions..* Rock being sarcastic*

It seems I do not enjoy this site like I once did..I still love my supporters and they got my back..I thought this would be a good question and shake some things up..I wish we had more thought provoking questions..Anyway, does the Leaderboard leaders actually have the most influence on Sodahead??

The way the leaderboard is constructed and the rules of operation. It would be very doubtful if those on the leader rungs, could be considered as being influential. The standard of being able to reach the very pinnacle of the leaderboard has been set so low, that it is not about level of intelligent questions that decides who goes up. It is more about the level of and the amount of mundane questions you can post. That is the quantifying requirement.

It's rather sad really because interesting questions get lost amid the the thousands of mundane uninteresting and repeat questions.

I cringe when I read some of the questions posted, or some of them not even questions but rather statements. Lots of really good questions get lost under all the junk about Bieber, One Direction and Obama.

It would seem to me that the larger fun and entertainment groups must be served by those that are Top LeaderBoarders. Mostly things of no interest to me, but it keeps up interest among the young and fun groups. I don't get what the leader board is all about. I assume SH finds it useful.

I don't pay attention to any of that stuff. I haven't asked but a handful of questions, myself. I'm just here to make friends and shove my opinions down other people's throats. It is what you make of it. :O)

Good question! A lot of us are bored with the so called "leader board" questions. It seems like the top ones that are put out are mostly insulting garbage. We get back what we put in or put out here. SodaHead could be so much better than it is. You and I have had our conflicts...still I see a side of you (like this) that I would like to see more of.

You'd be surprised at how many people come here to answer mundane questions. I see a lot of good questions with only a handful of answers, yet silly and pointless questions like "what's your favourite colour" and "take this quiz and post the result" get dozens of replies.

The Leaderboard might measure their influence (and inconclusively, at that). But it does not give them influence.

Not sure, I've never bothered with it. I get annoyed because somtimes I end up on there and people will send me friend requests that I have nothing in common with and they'll want me to add them because I'm apparently generous with raves. I hope I'm not coming off as a jerk but why would I add someone I have nothing in common with? Of course, most of the time I'll accept just to be courteous and never hear from them again. So it really doesn't matter to me. not sure what the fuss is all about one way or another.

Thats pretty much how I am. Sometimes I'm left scratching my head over the friend requests I get. Sometimes the people sending them seem shady. other times its a woman who wants to have an online relationship. It says in my profile that i don't date online. I never accept or send a friend request until after I've read their profiles.
