I believe that my wife and I are good examples of this thought. We've been married well over 50 yars and we talk about this all of the time. She says nothing and I talk about 50 plus years. That has got to be opposites stuck together with more than glue.

It can go both ways.

Small example: My fiance and I are kind of opposites. He hates pickles, mayo and anything spicy but I love all those things. Big example: one of my friends has parents who one is a Dem and one is a Rep. It's funny because they have a strict rule of no politics in the house but you can feel the tension around elections. They love each other a lot and have been together at least... 20 years? I don't know exact years.

Or they can be so different that everything just leads to arguing and bickering. That never ends well. :/
