Fat people no, but Obese people, yes. But only when I know them and I know that they got fat because they have a low self worth and cba getting fit.

But what annoyed me about some of these other posts was people saying things like 'its whats on the inside that counts' like they could meet someone morbidly obese with walrus tusks and say they enjoyed spending time with them.
looking at something that is not visually 'good looking' DOES make a difference to what you think of it, like it or not. Obviously if you are offensive about it then its wrong, but dont spout bollocks about only the inside matters. It may matter more, but much what you see tells you alot about the person, before you even start talking and 'getting to know the inside'.

No, but people who hate the obese or think poorly of them simply because they are fat make me cringe. Having ill feeling towards a fat person is based in prejudice and prejudice is based in preconceived irrational notions and there is absolutely no room for that kind of thinking in our society.
People who can’t stand the sight of an obese person are generally self-absorbed ego centric idiots who have the idea that their personal view of how a person should look and live is the right view and all others are wrong. Unfortunately that’s not the reality of life.

However, I do cringe at those who let stereotypes rule their life.

Yes, but not out of disgust. It's more out of pity for them and thankfulness that I'm not at that point. And I'm talking about the people who are as obese as the girl in the question picture, not people like myself or even heavier than myself (I'm 5'6" and 250 lbs).

There are a lot of obese people walking around who do not make me cringe. There are a few grossly obese people, mostly not walking around, who do. To be "fair", there are an even greater number of extremely thin people walking around who make me cringe even harder!

When I see them at fast food restaurants ordering double 1/4 pounders, large fries and a diet coke, I cringe.

While I don't cringe at obese people, it does make me realize just how important physical activity is to one's health.

Only when I see that occasional look they give a table full of food. It's surreal...like a lion poised to spring on its prey. Their forehead wrinkles, eyes focus. Just isn't normal.

I have friends who are obese and it just makes me really sad for them. They're still young now, but the health problems they will undoubtedly have in the future are unimaginable.

Public healthcare? Ha! With the whole "you must stay fit" bs, you realize you are not living your life. Why can't just eat? It's my life let me live, I work out every other day, work an extremely physical job, and I visit a doctor every three months. He has never been too worried about my weight because I am so active. You can be overweight (i am 100 pounds) and still be perfectly healthy. That healthcare retort is now starting to seem silly.

Obesity is a curable disease. The cure is self-control.

Is it a disease? I call it a life choice. If you don't like it, get over it. Also for some it isn't a choice there are many factors that make some obese. My sister has to take a bunch of medicine because she lost her ovaries. She used to be very fit but the only medcine that helps makes her gain weight. That is just an example there are many more reasons. So why be so shallow?

That happened to mfy sister too. But for the most part obesity is a choice that costs taxpayers a lot of money.

But always remember this; every time you lay down a blanket rule (ie all fat people are just gluttons) you are being completely unfair to those who aren't (ie those with hypopituarism or hypothyroidism or joint conditions limiting exercise to a minimum etc). Don't do it.

I want to say yes and no. Pretty much all my father's family is morbidly obese. I do cringe when I see how big they are. But then again they're family so I try not to look at that. Btw, I'm talking about 4-500 pounds fat which is a sad sight to see.
