To a degree, but mutual attraction is more important, thinking alike and on the same intellectual level are also very important factors. If they are also easy on the eye, so much the better.

I dont base a relationship just by looks but there does need to be a mutual attraction.
Everyone has a type that they look for,although ive seen a lot of great relationships based on opposites.
I do believe that when love is in the air..nothing else really matters.

Yes and No. To fit some standard of attractiveness -- absolutely not. An appealing style and character, yes. Of course, what appeals to me might not appeal to someone else...a world of diversity, isn't that wonderful!

Well, they shouldn't matter but people will always gravitate towards people they deemed more attractive. We are a visual creature. What ever is pleasing to the eye, we will more like take more interest in it. Appearance is the bait, while the personality is the hook.

naw...I usually don't look at the physical. I always look at the heart...and sometimes you would more likely fall for a person you don't expect to fall for. :/

As long as I am attracted, I'll opt for a nice smile, a swell companion and a decent conversationalist. I am not daft enough to choose a love interest based on their physical appearance. No, I am not necessarily an unattractive person either.

Of course they do! In an ideal world they shouldn't but we live in anything BUT an ideal world-in fact society seems to be ever increasingly obsessed by 'looks' and image, hence the explosion in cosmetic procedures-botox, 'beauty' treatments, face-lifts,etc, etc.Sad,really, that we live in a world in which so many people-both men AND women only seem to put value on the appearance of a person rather than the character of the individual.
