I've done a lot of volunteering to pick up trash on the roadway - when my son was in school. Ever since I was in elementary school and saw the advertisements about Woodsy the Owl and the slogan "Give a hoot, don't pollute" -- it has always been one of my pet peeves -- seeing people throw trash out of their car window or the road side dumps that some people create - even dumping old furniture or appliances on the side of the road. Irritates me badly.
We have a beautiful country, it makes me made to see it messed up by unthinking people. I have see people dump trash on the ground and a few feet away is a trash can.

You're absolutely right.cigarette butts are the biggest source of litter worldwide.I get incensed at those who feel the beach is a giant ashtray.Addressing "foul smokers" I can't argue it's not foul yet understand the addiction.As an addict it's tough to quit I'm down to 3 a day but admit I do look forward to all 3.
It is rude, stupid and sometimes unsanitary to litter. Litterbugs are pigs, and that includes smokers who flick their ashes or butts out of their car windows.
Yes it does and this is one of my pet peeves. I love the outdoors and I hate to see the highways and roads covered with trash beside the road. It is disgusting and harmful to the enviroment.
