Do horror movies scare you?

old movies no. paranormal movies no. if its something invloving killing or torture yes (could give people ideas)

Why would they be scary?

and the 'monster' and even then it doesnt scare me more like the sudden rush that shocks me

"Horror" movies today are just so stupid. I get more scared when I watch thrillers or suspense movies.

its fun watching horror movies,, it gives you ideas on how to scare friends or children.. haha.. keeps your imagination of creatures growing..

I can't watch them alone.

Used to love watching them as a kid; just for the thrill of htat scary feeling. But now they all seem kinda lame. Now when i watch all I can think about is how the special effects people did what they did

I love them and sometimes get so engrossed that they can make me jump but that is all part of the enjoyment.

I've been watching them since I was 6. Last night, I watched The Human Centipede 2 before I went to bed.

They dont scare me, but im really squeamish, so if i see blood or the motion of releasing blood or something, i refuse to watch it...And after watching the human centipede 1 and 2...well...

With horror movies, many of them follow the same formula. I like the supernatural suspense type because you don't always know what's going to happen next or what is going on. The movies that have surprise endings are the best. "Dead Silence" was a perfect example of that. Even though it was a scary movie, you kept thinking something was wrong about the whole thing and you couldn't figure out exactly what it was. My jaw crashed to the floor when I saw the ending because it was something I wasn't expecting to happen. Those are actually the best. I think many are not scared because deep down they know it's "not real". But if it were real life it would be a very different story.
