The definition of "feminist" is "person who wants women to have THE SAME rights as men". Hating men has nothing to do with it.

Sure, there are some militant feminists out there, but there's exceptions to anything, really.

For the most part, they're just advocates for female rights and such.

Seems they do but also they see to hate themselves also. There is nothing wrong with wanting equal pay for equal job ect but the man/human bashing is SOOOO wrong. Double standards also sucks, "support the woman" IF it is their kind of woman the others just get lambasted.

Feminism is all about gender EQUALITY. Equality for women AND men.

On the other hand there are the radicals who call themselves feminists but instead of equal rights they campaign for special rights. Those guys...should probably get a life.

Some do, some don't. Some just hate what men do or prefer women over men. Some may just think they hate men. Its hard to generalize a large group of people and say that all of them feel the same way or are the way they are for just one reason. It's like saying that gay people are gay because they hate the opposite sex. Which is not true in most cases.

No, they don't. There are women that hate men and are not feminist.
All feminism means is that a woman chooses how to live their life and take full responsibility for it. It does not mean being libertine nor hating men.
I know that I certainly don't hate men, that's for sure.

Depends on the feminist, the feminist's working (or dysfunctional) definition of feminism and personal baggage.

I prefer the word egalitarian to feminist and I prefer it well examined and thoughtfully practiced.

I would take a man telling me the "right thing to do" any day over a zealous female telling me do it because your a female. Right is right, wrong is wrong. My husband calls me a Proverbs 31 woman, that is no wimpy woman.
