My boss once said to me "Good Morning," in his ever cheerful tone. To which I replied "Yep." He then said to me "You're not much of a morning person are you." To which I replied "I'm not much of a person at all." He was right of course, but I can't stand morning people... So cheery, and whats up with the whistling...

    To do my job, I used to have to pass by the desk of a department head who would call out "Smile!" and put on her biggest, goofiest smile. If I were a cat, I'd probably have taken her face off. That mess got annoying.

    I know we all have bad days. We all get cranky. We all get b*tchy moods. A person who is excessively cheery is compulsively FAKE.

    However, I can't condemn whistling. It reminds me of my Grandfather and makes me smile even on the blackest of days.

    Especially morning people. I like that movie sergeant in We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson. One of the guys said good morning and a comment about the weather and he came back with What are you now a damned weatherman. I can understand that. Whistling, yuck. Run away.

    They do first thing in the morning before the caffeine has infused my system. But, of course, EVERYTHING irritates me then.

    No.We need more cheery people in the world.It has to be a sincere happy person who is like that naturally.If it's a fake cheery,yes it is irritating.It's easy to tell.It can't be faked easily.
