I do! Breaking away from my main novel for a while, I've nearly written a story about a chimeragon and am currently in the process of writing another short, I will post the link on my "creation station" group once it is finished. I have written shorts before, but what about you guys?

Lol I'll see how I can help out. If it's for school, I wont be able to do that much, but I can give you different plot directions just to nudge you in the right direction for the story :)

I don't write short stories but I have been known to tell them. I must admit a talk too much and go off at a tangent when I tell a story which some have remarked to me that I should put that down on paper and get it published :)

I write both short stories and novels. In fact two of my novels (was one novel, but I was told it was too long) are made up of 3-4 consecutive short stories.

No, it's some chick lit I wrote a while ago. I had finished the 4 book dark faeries set and recently started a fifth, which is really a prequel to the others....It's coming along. I know where it's going to end up, at least, and I'm working in bits and starts. Right now, being the end of the school year, (I"m an OT in a couple of schools) I'm getting all of my paperwork done and the last sessions done. Some of the schools have summer school, so my special ed kids will have to be seen in July. But It'll probably be a lighter caseload than I usually have so I may work reduced hours during the summer. I bet that's a lot more info than you wanted, right? lol

Nah that's cool! Glad to hear the dark faeries stuff is going well, and good to hear you writing different genres of story, too. One of my shorts is about a chimeragon creature and a little girl, once finished, it will be available on wattpad to read (I'll post u a link), then, there's obviously my main novel, and now one that is a different spin of the concept of "nekos" (cat people), it's a... different story, you'll see what I mean if u see it :)
I'm using the RP's to help me come up with ideas, I think you might enjoy a roleplay, but like I said, addictive, and sometimes time consuming. You also will want to roleplay with people who are good at lit and are imaginative, some characters are flat-out Mary sues. I try to avoid overly-perfect characters.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My husband is big into roleplaying, and one of the guys he games with has been writing the story of the adventure they've been doing. He's nearly done with that. My husband, on hte other hand, has been writing the same novel for at least the last 20 years and still is not finished (It's a sci fi). I have fantasy, a short story that's kind of Twilight Zoneish (NOT to be confused with Twilight... and my vampyre faeries don't sparkle), a 2-novel set about a boy who was kidnapped (the idea came from something that actually happened, but I changed so much about it, only the idea can be said to have come from reality.) I think my life is just one long role play in my head, anyway. lol

I've actually heard of the twilight zone (futurama did a parody called 'the scary door'... also, I H8 twilight!) Also, I zip through multpile characters going along in daydreams in my head, some people even say they can see when I'm thinking of an idea (if that's possible) lolz :) Although despite always seeming on pluto or somewhere, my stories are tuned into the real world in a different way, politically speaking.

I figured the newer Twilight Zone had been cabalized and sent all over the world. I just didn't know if the original one with Rod Serling was known worldwide.

I did a semester in Manchester when I was in college, and one week of my semester was at Granada studios in Manchester. They were surprised when I asked if I could spend a day on the set of Coronation Street. They didn't think anyone in the US had ever heard of it.

Cool :) To be honest, I prefer a lot of American shows I recieve by satellite than stuff broadcast by the BBC. Ever since we had sky installed, we have rarely watched a BBC programme since!
And I have a massive thing against twilight, it is quite literally the stupidest thing I have ever seen! (I only watched 5 mins and thought WTF?) But I think my sister has watched some of the twilight zone, she said it really freaked her out!

We had a show that was kind of along similar lines in the 70s, I think, called Night Gallery. Rod Serling also hosted that, but he died and someone else took over hotsing it. That had some pretty freaky things. On one episode, this guy ended up killing himself. His spirit got up to murder his cheating wife during a thunder storm and he went into the wrong room and stabbed his sleeping body...

I thought the Puppet Twilight on You Tube was pretty funny.

I have issues with Stephenie Meyer. She did a lot of interviews where she pouted and complained about 7 publishers turning her down before she was published. As far as I'm concerned, she didn't suffer enough. JK Rowling was turned down by pretty much everyone before she was published. And she writes rings around Meyer.

Haha good point! Also, everyone says how in the film (generally I'm not huge on book-to-film adaptations, they can be good sometimes) Bella has only two facial expressions and spends the whole time biting her lip. I'm also not a huge potter fan, but really like the potter puppet pals :)

Oh, I've never seen the potter puppet pals! She was in Snow White and the Huntsman, which I saw over the weekend. She was a pretty kick-ass knight, and her acting wasn't too bad, but again, she has that pouty face and the "OMG, I don't know my next line" look. lol.
