The original is an awesome movie which I've seen a few times because it's great. I haven't seen the new one, but I've heard it didn't live up to the original.

I liked the original with Daniel-san, as well as Part 2 and Next Karate Kid. Part 3 had certain disturbing elements which went too far.

Depends on which one you're talking about. If its the original movie without Jackie Chan and Will Smith's son, then yes, I love it. If you're talking about the newer version, then no, I didn't like it.

The original Karate Kid was a good movie.....I also like the Karate Kid 2 and 3...and The Next Karate Kid. I haven't seen the new version which has Jaden Smith

I've seen all of them, even the remake which wasn't nearly as good as the original.
I'm not a snob about remakes, I enjoy them, but this remake was not good.
