I have never had anybody turn down one of my friendship requests! I have only requested a few, but that is after we had already gotten to know each other.

I don't take ANY friend requests where they send the message "I saw you are a top whatever on the leader board, please add me." I also look at the profile pages of people requesting me to add them as a friend, and if the person seems nice I'll add them, if they post things that make them seem like a douchebag, I don't.

I've gotten to the point I look at a profile before I accept anymore if I see that it's strictly a "points" harvesting request as I don't look at the leader board and could care less about that malarkey.

Absolutely not ! Its has nothing to do with ARD at all.... Most refusals are simply because they don't like the individual from past viewing/postings or can see a future problem with disagreements.... It doesn't hurt my feelings at all if someone turns my invitation down. I have turned down several because I could see future disputes and decided to save both of us some very hard feelings......

Some people are here to do polls only and could care less about relating to people in their circle

I've only asked 3 times and my circle isn't huge but everyone else asked me.. I don't usually ask... but I never turn down a request either.
