I never liked the guy, because he criticised England all the time. But crying? Grow some balls man!

BattleBattlerBenji (PHAET) 2012/07/08 23:44:59No. Men can cry nowadays.+3Perhaps when you have reached the finals at Wimbledon, lost and experienced the emotions that come with it, you can better judge him.

- Jeff Vader 2012/07/09 01:29:55 (edited)Unsure. He is a bit of a Jessie but thousands of English were raving him on as a "British" tennis player. Sounds like you have something against the Scots. BTW I'm not Scottish I'm English, but I happen live there.reply

Man, I'm 1/4 scottish! But Murray made a big deal about how he wasn't British, and how he would support any other football team than England! That grinded my gears!reply - Jeff Vader Jack 2012/07/09 01:41:08 (edited)
+1That's a myth, listen to this.

I regard it as 'currying favour'.reply - BattleB... Jack 2012/07/09 01:57:22
+2So you are upset because he supports another football team?
reply -
No. Support all the British nations, normally. But he chose to point out that he hated England! What a twat!reply - BattleB... Jack 2012/07/09 02:06:35
+2Seriously, you know what's funny? That you have had a go at Murray for crying over a tennis match when you are getting wound up over comments about a hunk of rock sitting in the ocean and a group of 11 men kicking a sheep's bladder around.reply -
Look, the football's irrelevant. These days, I'm not especially into it. But he specifically said he was Scottish, not British! That says a lot. Then, after declaring himself part of a nation who pride themselves on being hard-as-nails, he cries when he loses! Which hunk of rock are you talking about?reply - Changeling 2012/07/08 23:51:42Yes. What a sissy!I like that term, Jessiereply

+1Haha' yeah, we use it a lot in England!reply - Changeling Jack 2012/07/09 00:38:18
I love English slang. Every time I'd try to use it myself. I'd think someone from the UK be like, Bloody Yankreply - me being me 2012/07/08 23:46:10Unsure.+1I think it was unnecessary.reply

I've been through far worse things than losing a tennis match, matey, and I held it together better than he did.reply - Vision of Verve 2012/07/08 23:44:46
- NPC 2012/07/08 23:43:55Unsure.Have watched professional men's tennis for about 20 years now. Federer wiped Murray off the court in the final two sets.reply

+1Haha, I can understand the guy being upset, but I didn't see Jimmy white crying after any of his snooker final defeats, or Bruno crying when Tyson kicked his ass! I think I'd have more sympathy if Murray hadn't gone round mouthing off about how much he hated England! I'm 1/4 Scottish, and I still found his words offensive!reply - Wayne T... +1I know what you're saying, tennis players seem to cry more for some reason. I've seen Federer and Nadal crying before as well. I think those comments about England were taken out of context, the interviewer was winding him up about Scotland not qualifying for a tournament England were in.reply -
+1You may be right. Perhaps he's not all bad. As for tennis players, well, they mostly come from fairly privileged backgrounds, where they're protected from hard knocks. I suppose that's why they cry when they lose a match!reply
