Democrat state congresswoman in NC accidentally votes against her Democrat governor's veto, thereby casting the deciding vote. Think Democrats are more prone to voting mistakes than Republicans?

Yes, see the statements of Nancy Pelosi ; "Every week we don't pass a Stimulus package, 500 million Americans lose their jobs.''
"I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels. It's cheap, abundant and clean compared to fossil fuels."
"We have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as "Americans.""(Okay...just so's we've got this straight...illegal aliens are "Americans"?)
First Bush cut taxes for the rich and the economy has rebounded with new record low unemployment rates, which only means wealthy employers are getting even wealthier at the expense of the underpaid working class."

I don't think it has to do with whether they are a democrat or republican...

I'm not so partisan to claim it so......though, I must admit, this made me chuckle. I'd have loved to have seen her face when she realized that she'd pulled the wrong lever. I thought I was the only one who did this type of thing.
    Makes my day.

Because to say the were knowingly voting for something they knew to be unconstitutional, against America's best interest, or in conflict with their oath of office and their constituents wishes........Wouldn't that be treason?

I think she really wanted to vote against the veto. Maybe her district needs jobs.

Good possibility. Did it deliberately, then, for the sake of partisan appearances, pretended it was a mistake.

Maybe, and maybe not. But it would be a convient way to explain it to Bev Perdue.
