Heath did a great Joker because of what he brought to the character that was new, not because he did exactly what had already been done in the comics. If we must have another Joker then I say give the role to someone creative and quirky like Crispin Glover so they can bring something new to the character in their own way. I vote for Crispin. Besides, he's a great actor and he isn't getting enough work these days.

Just let the Joker go. We'll get at least one more movie from the Batman franchise. We've gotten so many good memorable scenes from Dark Knight, trying to get someone else to play the role will just ruin it. Mention him in passing, do a subplot with Harley, but don't show him onscreen.

Why would they need anyone to play the Joker? They had that movie once already, they did a really good job on it, do another story with a different villain, not a partial retread of the last one.

I'm sorry.
I'm just not seeing it.
Not unless they redesign the whole character.
Heath made the character come to life, and in doing so, set the bar very high.
Reaching that level will take one hell of an actor.
And, as much as I think Corey has potential, I don't think he can jump that high.
