something this guy said on youtube about certain classical piece. Loved it , so I borrowed it ;) I'm assuming you mean classical as in a CD you can pick up at Walmart with a mix of lyric less music, -the genre- rather than the actual classical music period of time. That being said, of course classical music is brilliant! You know how much work goes into a single piece, no, a single movement? Puts mainstream music to shame lol But then again, I am a music major so maybe I am biased. ;)....a sidenote, can you imagine how boring movies would be without the scores in the background? It's usually the music more than anything that draw you in. For example:
Like the folks who prefer typewriters to keyboards, just a romanticized antiquity.
Music taste and technological awareness are two different things altogether.
That's not a certainty, of course. There's an awful lot of terrible classical music. Also, and I think classical musicians don't acknowledge this, there is a significant amount of popular music with artistic merit.
Still, I recognize that the composers who created it were often geniuses of a kind. It's just that their genius goes right past me.
Above all, I hate the word "boring." People who say they're bored are usually empty-minded thrill-seekers unwilling to examine things beneath the surface.
