China's first woman. There have already been women in space already. From what I heard they would prefer that their female astronauts be married with a child as radiation may cause reproductive issues.

The space shuttle program hasn't actually ended here. Obama ordered NASA to cancel the Constellation and use the private industry for space orbit flights. Google Space X. Trust me, it is starting to get good. Space X is the company that is building charter "shuttles" to basically take people on orbital flights around the Earth. According to their website, they have already launched a spacecraft, called the SpaceX Dragon. It landed back on Earth (in the water) on May 31 of this year. Cool things are on the way. Yes, shuttles like we have known for decades have ended, but capsules are back in business.
