When you ask someone to dinner, don't talk on phone/text all night. Manners. Acquire some if you lack them. And driving. Chances are that the slow drivers (if not snow birds) are on the phone or texting, or reading a text. Most, if not all of my close calls this year alone are from idiots with their eyes glued to their phone instead of the road. Many times people assume they can use the phone and merge at the same time (merge right into your car which they hadn't seen).
In indoor public places, when people walk around talking loudly. When a person pays more attention to their cell phone, than the person or persons they are with at the time. Exceptions are possibly crucial or anticipated calls.
Anytime they are not in private. I especially detest folks using them in the supermarket when they have their little kids with them. The kids want attention or try to talk to the parent and the parent either hushes them or ignores them.
That just irritates me to no end. I never did that with my son and I don't do it with his kids.
Movies,Restaurants,Drivers,si... in my house if you don't live here (I really hate that one)Shoppers standing in line to pay, Doctors offices,Synagogue,Meetings I am attending, when I am speaking at a meeting. Many more.
In the movie theater when the glow from the screen is right in your face and you are trying to watch the movie, or someone in a store talking on it so loud you can hear them two blocks away, or when a person keeps interrupting a conversation to answer the phone, it does a off button.
In crowded public places such as on the bus or in a movie theater, as well as while having a conversation with someone. I swear if you so much as text (you can take a quick look or two, but straight up ignoring me? No.) while we are having a face to face conversation, I WILL take the phone (I want to say "and throw it out a window", but I know I won't). It's rude and it drives me insane.
In my presence generally but mostly in my car. Those things cause permanent brain damage. If someone pulls one out in my car, I ask them to put it away, if they don't want to do that they can GET OUT.
Weddings, Movies, My band concerts, Whenever I'm on the marching field and the kid next to has their phone going off in their uniform.... if that was competition and the judges were walking on the field and heard that we'd be disqualified!
In the movies when someone is texting during a movie. If you want to text, go home and wait till the movie comes out on DVD. You're obviously too rude to watch one in hte theater.
