Cats are clean and do potty where its their sand. They are playful and active(specially at nights). A cat is desired for a person that doesn't like to go out as much and who is chill with everything. The cat is a smooth Companion and he/she can make your life happier. Dogs are more playful and outgoing (depending on the bread). A dog is an outdoor companion he/she can be with you, walk with you, and run with you. But a dog needs to be well trained for him/her potty on the right place and not mess up your house. Cats and dogs are very similar as a baby, they are both playful and full of energy 24/7. In my opinion i would prefer a dog because im an outgoing person and really active. Remember that you also have to take a dog for walks.(:
