i rescued one cat and thats hard enough to cope with. my cat doesnt stink though and neither do any of my friends cats it depends on whether they have been spayed and neutered.
i love my cat but wish she was a dog

It depends on where she lives and does she have the spayed and neutered? Also are the cats vaccinated? I know a couple who live on a farm and they 4 dogs and about 20 cats, plus horses and livestock. All of the animals are well taken care of.

If some person wants a house that reeks to high heaven with the cat funk scent, then who am I to interfere? They are saving lives from extermination, but lets hope they have the means to keep them all healthy. I love cats but I think I'd just hate to live next door...

Well I'd imagine that there'd be a major difference between the smell of an abode that's housing only a few felines and then that of a place that is housing hundreds as stated in the question. The smell of hundreds must be unbearable. All animals (and people), if not kept tidy will eventually become foul.

Just check out the cat hoarder on "HOARDERS", so nasty, the amount of dead cats in her house was sickening, She didn't even know she had dead cats because the stench of cat faeces was far too overwhelming. The cats that where alive where all sick and diseased as was she.

I can understand a few cats as a pet, but a persons house is no place to run a shelter. If thats the case and she really wants to do that she should open up an animal shelter and do it the right way.

if you have the room, and the means to take care of them, why not?
but if the cats are running you out of your own home, then i think its time to find homes for some of those cats
