The Music Goes Round and Round - Danny Kaye and Louis Armstrong from the movie The Five Pennies. (The Life of Red Nichols) Which I saw when I was 8. And I fell in love for the first time with Tuesday Weld.
I grew up in a family that music is at the core....so there are so many that i love. Mom came from a family of 8 and every last one of them played an insturment.
But when i hear this...i think of my amazing family....
Thank AM :) I cant imagine my life without music or playing guitars...my kids play too....even bought my grand daughter a little guitar...well two really. one is a little barbie one lol then i have a real one for when she turns 5-6, she strums along with us often.
well yes but it's not the first one i heard but one that i was old enough to take notice of and remember at about 9. .....a white sports coat and a pink carnation.....
Yeah they probably would have been bf, its one of my ealiest and fondest memories :)..I was bought up with the brass swing sound with dad being a musician..and Henry Mancini and the swingle singers ! can you remember them :)
I can't remember that far back. We always had music going in our house. My mom has pictures somewhere of me trying to pull the vinyls out of her hands and crying because I couldn't.
I was Very young when I first heard this on the radio, it was great compared to what I remember having to sing everyday at school which was " All things Bright + Beautiful " !!.
My mother always had the radio on + we`d dance when the rock + roll songs came on. It was great fun. :o)
Hi Reg, do you remember Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley ?, Lonny Donegan sang it, I also remember that on the radio. I don`t know about the young fresh faced whipper snapper !!!.
Hi Reg, Tuesday night 9pm the free view channel " Yesterday " is about the way we lived after the war. Streets in The East End + the communities there. It looks interesting, thought you may enjoy it. :o)

Which I saw when I was 8.
