Some times the truth is hard to hear. Like when you find out that someone betrayed you and then kept doing it even after they knew what they were doing was wrong.
Or when people try to "sugar coat" things or tell you what they think you want to hear.
It's not the easiest thing to deal with. And sometimes it makes you not want to know. But lies perpetuate more lies. As Shakespeare said "Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive".
I would much rather have everyone be brutally honest with me than to tell me a lie, but that does not mean everything has to be said.
It kind of makes me a hypocrite, since a lot of my life is based on a lie, but that affects me more than others.
Yes I can. Even if the truth is unpleasant or so bad that unpleasant is an understatement I would whether know it than be told a lie as being told a lie won't change the truth.

Truth is subjective though. Whatever you believe is true will manifest it's self for you. So the real question is can you handle YOUR truth?
