Can you find humor in any situation?

I shouldn't have said yes, but I do try and find humor in most situations. Obviously if there's some horrific situation such as a rape, murder, or child molestation, I can't find humor in that. I think laughter is a great way to get us through the tougher times in life.

My neighbors wife is always running around preaching doom and gloom , dismayed he said I dont know what is wrong with her . After thinking a few minutes I said that she suffers from the Chicken little syndrone .

I have a horrible sense of humor. I laugh and make jokes when I'm uncomfortable. Anytime. Any situation. And usually my filter isn't working at the same time.

Funeral - check
Trouble at work - check
Kids in trouble at school - check check
Getting pulled over by a cop - check
Someone falls (this one is the worst, by far) - check

I know that people think I'm rude and it's in poor taste, but it's nothing that I can control!! Plus, laughter is the best medicine ... right?!?

I always try to look at the funny side of things. For example, I was at the Secretary of State office one time and the line was naked through the office and out the door where I was bringing up the rear. This lady walked up and asked, "Is this the end of the line?"

I replied, "Yes it is!"

She rolled her eyes and heaved a big, "Oh, no!'

I smiled and said, "look at the bright side - At least you're standing in the Express Line!"

"Express Line? You've got to be kidding! There's about 80 people here!"

Undaunted, I replied, "Well, do you see any other line? We may as well call this the Express Line!"
