I have two friend who can not cook to save their lives.....every party, event, or big holiday they want me to come over and help them or teach them to cook.....

Hey Beck... I can cook darlin!!!! I just built a new kitchen, and it is super functional for me, and I love to cook for people.... anyone other than my kids, who do not appreciate much beyond Kraft dinner. :)

But don't you dare tell my wife I said that... I've gotten away without having to do it for a long time. Helps when you make a horrible dish for her prior to getting married. She hasn't let me cook for years now, other than on the BBQ.

So don't screw up my perfectly laid out plan!

...and I love it! Seriously, I think about food the way crack addicts think about crack. If you want to help your friends, buy them a membership to America's Test Kitchen. It's loaded with cooking how-to basics for beginners. Good Stuff! The recipes are awesome and specific with explanations about how a recipe can go wrong as well as right. I love it.

And I can cook very well, I just don't get to do it as often as I'd like for myself because I'm too busy, I don't really eat much day to day but people keep telling me I need to eat more and I've been trying to.
