And you seriously think that 15 is a good age to even think about marriage? It doesn't even matter how long you've been in a relationship or how in love you are. If you are meant to be together, why worry about getting engaged at such a ridiculously young age?
And also, you were in a serious relationship with someone at 11? Please don't tell me that that's possible >.<
Don't take anything here to offense, I'm simply curious as I'm 16 and would like to think about the future of my life before engagement and marriage despite my relationship. You have to learn independence first...

meh, i don't really think independence would be the best bet. i love bob and we are going to get married so, we figured, why not make it official? also, we have taken into account our future and are saving up money for college and a future. and we were in at least a relationship when we were 11, as serious as it could be which was like holding hands and going to the park to swing and stuff. now, it's a lot more serious.

Yes

Definitely can even if it isn't common. And sex can even be part of it(though mostly they should wait till marriage). Just because two teens have a relationship that they believe is serious and are having sex does not mean it won't last. If those two people love each other and pour their heart and feelings into each other each time they are physical then that is healthy and it is not just sex.

Yes I think they can. I was in a serious relationship throughout most of high school with a really great guy. We were together for almost 4 years. And even though we broke up months ago, we're still good friends.

it just depends on how seriously they take love and relationships and how well they understand the difference between being with a crush they like LIKE vs. planning on spending their life with the one that they LOVE. they also gotta understand the difference between lust and love. if that happens then theyre all set. :PPP

The only other true love I've had besides my husband, was age 17 on up for a bit. Dead serious love there. There are many relationships after and before that were not true in fact, but this one was.

No is my short answer ....

The long answer, depends on what you mean by "serious." I'm assuming you mean a sexually active, monogomous relationship ... and if that is what you mean, I would say largely no again. There are exceptions to the rules for sure, as i know a few couples who were high school or even middle school sweethearts who got married and lived happily ever after, but they are few and far between.

Besides why would you want to be attached in a serious relationship that young ... enjoy your youth and have fun (responsibly of course)!

i dont think serious relationship means sex... i think it means as in you love them and they love you and its a long relationship that you both are largely involved in. sex is definately something that needs to wait til mariage jus to be safe. Although most teens arent responsible enough to see that.

I considered that when writing my response and I added sexual activity for two reasons ... 1) I agree with you, most teenagers aren't responsible enough to wait till marrige and 2) I believe that a "serious" relationship conotates "love" and intamacy and sex are a big part of romantic love, or at least should be.
