So armed gunmen break into a CA home and the homeowner who possesses a firearm shoots one of the perps dead and wounds the other 2 as children are having a sleepover that very night.
Question: Did the homeowner did a good job protecting his home, his loved ones and the children inside, or should he have been unarmed so everyone in the house could be righteously killed by the criminals like all Statists daydream 24/7/365?

Jeff Smith 2012/12/24 01:21:32Bwhaha! Only the Government our god the state should have guns, The homowner ...+8If you live in California. I'm surprised the homeowners not in jail for 1st degree murder and 3 counts of attempted murder isn't that how California law works in favor of the bad guys. It sure seems like that's the way the Obama administration see's it they would rather innocent people die then the bad guys

I was going to let you have the final word, but I am reluctant to stand idly by while you intentionally lie about my position.
On May 22, 2012, Holmes purchased a Glock 22 pistol at a Gander Mountain shop in Aurora, and six days later bought a Remington Model 870 shotgun at a Bass Pro Shops in Denver. On June 7, just hours after failing his oral exam at the university, he purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P15 semi-automatic rifle, with a second Glock 22 pistol following on July 6. All the weapons were bought legally.
In the four months prior to the shooting, Holmes also bought 3000 rounds of ammunition for the pistols, 3000 rounds for the M&P15, and 350 shells for the shotgun over the Internet. On July 2, he placed an order for a Blackhawk Urban Assault Vest, two magazine holders and a knife at an online retailer.

Surely, you don't think Holmes was a mere pawn in some vast super secret illuminati conspiracy?
You have already stated that you trust none of the mainstream sources of news; however, you blindly trust the unsupported claims made by some deluded and paranoid fringe group of conspiracy theorists.
Regardless, there's absolutely no evidence that Holmes broke any laws in acquiring his collection of weapons. There is, however, an abundance of evidence that he purchased his weapons in accordance with existing laws.
Had Holmes acquired his guns illegally then the prosecution would have added this to the list of crimes he is being accused of committing.
The fact that Holmes was medicated lends credence to the claim made by both CBS and FOX that Holmes was receiving psychiatric care. As such, his condition should have been recognized and he should have been prevented from legally buying several guns.
I would like to see legislation that held distributers accountable for providing guns and ammunition to criminals and the mentally ill. I would also support legislation that required a background check on the sale of all firearms, even between private individuals.
Such legislation would not unduly impede reasonable transactions, but would serve to deter gun owners from selling to criminals and the mentally ill.
One of two headlines do you think the news media would like to run: Homeowner saves himself and kids by shooting home invaders, or Homeowner killed during home invasion?
1. ARMED criminals aren't the goal of gun control laws.
2. The shooting occurred on private property -- a man defended his home and family. Nobody objects to that as far as I know.
3. The man did not next take his weapon, run to the nearest public place, and start shooting into a crowd.
4. I'll bet he used a handgun, not an assault weapon.
Question: What's the connection between a man defending his family from CRIMINALS and a whacko killing 27 innocent people including his own mother? I don't see any.
