Bravo for the state of Washington

ImageBandit ~ American Patriot 2012/01/22 05:26:18

These signs are priceless. Bravo for the state of Washington
Northbound on I-5 (88 miles south of Seattle )...

The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed or Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate highways.

The State of Washington replied, they will secede from the Union rather than be intimidated. These are a matter of free speech paid for by a private citizen.

It seems the Obama government uses intimidation and ignores the first amendment when they want to silence someone.

Good for the state of Washington! This is a both a first amendment issue and a gross overstepping by the fed gov of their constitutional powers.

I find these signs offensive. The caricature of our President is offensive and the signs he holds are presented as quotes or statements from him which he has never uttered. If you have something negative to say, fine. But when has lack of civility and courtesy been something to be proud of.

I find the wreck he is making of this country offensive - I find his use of fraudulent social security numbers offensive - I find his use of illegal powers offensive - I could go on but you arent listening

There is a way to disagree or express an opinion and there are ways not to. Being insulting doesn't add strength to your argument it only clouds the issue. If you want to discuss issues or present an opposing opinion I have no problem with that but when you reduce the argument to caricatures and disparaging statements, you lose me. I think there's a lot of misinformation and downright lies circulating out there and some people are pretty quick to believe even the most outrageous lies for reasons that have nothing to do with the issues. The comments about the birth certificates, the SS#, and many other "issues" have be proven false time and again and still people can't accept the truth. People will only believe what they want to believe. Too bad because it wastes a lot of time and impedes any progress on the real issues facing this country and the world.

the problem with that is that liberals dont like the truth and if you deal only in truth and justice liberals scream at you and get all strange - and since the truth does no good with them - then have a little fun I would tell you the truth but you being a liberal liar would simply say I am lying

You see, this is where I take exception. I didn't call you a liar. I am simply disagreeing with you. I know you have very different beliefs from mine but I would say instead that you are misinformed about some things, not that you are lying. I'm sure you absolutely believe what you're saying, I just disagree with you. You're right, I am a liberal progressive. My ideas are almost totally opposite from yours but your still not a liar. And neither am I.

I put a lot of emphasis on friendship even in people who dont agree with me - I dont back down but I can meet in the middle so to speak - and agree to disagree - outside of the political areana we can be friends

The biggest problem with your statement, Pat, is that your mind is as closed as those that you impugn. Get real...you're not looking for cogent argument, you're looking for agreement.

The Federal government has always held highway funds over the heads of states to get them to do the Fed's bidding. I'm glad to hear my state is standing up to him and his cronies. It's surprising to me though, as Liberal as my state is.

Obummer and our other enemies in Congress don't want honest, tax-paying American citizens to know the truth or have any real say in the farce of a government in D.C.

I thought Washington was a very liberal state, that doesn't seem to be the case as these spot on bill boards show. They hit the nail on the head and are great to see. Good for you Washington for standing up to the bullies running Washington DC, give 'em hell and tell them to go to hell.

The state as a whole is conservative; its Seattle and its suburbs that is liberal and that is where the majority of the population is.

Great if true; nothing on Snopes.com, yet. The signs are spot on, but Washington seems a littlle too 'Liberal' to stand up to the Feds like that. Kudos though, if they did !!

I live here and am blown away that Washington hasn't taken them down. This is one of the most liberal states in America. I call it Euro-America. I hadn't heard about this. Think I'll drive down to Chehalis and see for myself. I'll get back to you on this one. Thought I was the only one in Washington, west of the Cascades, who doesn't kiss Obama's ass.
