It's the same thing. Most brands of bottled water are just filtered tap water. If you use a filter and put some ice in it, tap water will be just as good as bottled.
Not enough options... both, depending on where.... I like tap water where I live as I have a deep well, and the water is cold and fresh and free of additives.... in large urban centres where water is processed, with flouride and chlorine added, and potentially any number of diseases introduced via the municipal infrastructure and piping system I would prefer bottled.... but that is just me.... I understand water and systems.
I have bottled water service in my home. Drinking tap water is a last resort for me because too many times our town has been on a boil water order. Remember the good old days when TV and water were free?
I remember many times my father getting on the roof to adjust the antenna. Also the phone bill was a standard $6 a month. If you need to save money just remember you can live without phone or TV.
I refill my water bottles a lot. We have well water so it's pretty good. This is the first house I've lived in that the well water doesn't turn my hair into straw.
Since my water comes from an artsian well out of the aquifer it is as good or better then bottled which is mostly tap water drawn from city water systems.
An option is bottled water service in your home. The provider collects the empty bottles to sanitize and reuse. I love mine and have been using the service many years with no complaints. I highly recommend trying in home service.
You lease the machine for $6 a month (or you can buy your own) and the bottles of water cost $5 with a $2 deposit back. It isn't really that expensive. There are basic bottled water dispensers that require no electricity shown here. The water will stay room temperature with these.
