So this has been an ongoing reoccurring argument between my friends and I, and I would like to get to the bottom of it.
Here's the scenario-- You are in the ocean swimming and one direction and from the opposite direction you are hit by a blue whale moving at a speed of roughly 20 to 25 miles per hour.
the question is simply would you or would you not be seriously injured in this event.
argument 1) no because the shape of the whale against the shape of your body and the resistance from the water would leave you relatively unharmed.
argument 2) yes you would be hurt because you're being hit by an object weighing multiple tons moving at 20 to 25 miles per hour.
I personally have my own opinion but i am curious to see what others out there have to say. does this question matter to anyone in any way at all? no absolutely not. this question does however matter to you after a couple bowls, and sadly this argument has been going on way longer than it ever should have.
thank you for your time.
