I was born very poor. My parents were drug addicts, I was in and out of foster care, my mom was in jail most of my childhood, I never stayed in a place long enough to make friends. and I was presented with the opportunity to use drugs constantly. I never touched them though (except for a little weed in high school of course) because I made a choice not to. Long story short: I'm not rich, but I am by no means poor. I make a decent wage in a job I love and come home to a beautiful family. It's completely my choices that kept me from being poor and all my choices that have kept me from being rich. I take full responsibility for where I'm at in life and I'm just fine with that. More people should stop pointing fingers and feeling sorry for themselves. Do something.

To me this means you can't control obviously what happens when your born but if you go through life working a medium wage job you hate and never going anywhere then its your fault. You have the power to make your life what you want it to be. And I realize health does effect that but even then, don't sit there and feel bad for yourself.

That's exactly what it means and of course there are exceptions to every rule. Obviously if you're born severely retarded, you're not going to get very far on your own. I think he's talking to people that can hear and comprehend the words that are coming out of his mouth. If you can, your over 25, and you're dirt poor...it's you're fault, loser.
