Politics: it's not a game, exactly. But there are rules, and when you break them you are running….Politically Foul!
At a Cinco de Mayo celebration, Vice President Joe Biden was attempting to get festive. But he was without the appropriate equipment. Grabbing a glass of water, he began to make a toast, saying, "It's considered bad luck among the Irish to toast with water. So I'm not going to do that." But ultimately Biden couldn't resist, so he toasted anyway, "To friendship, to Mexico and to America, happy Cinco de Mayo."
Whoa - can American foreign policy really survive this kind of jinx? Why don't you just walk under a ladder and hug a black cat?
